My husband has a serious case of adult adhd and is a meth addict! He says it calms him. he has been to doctor after doctor with no sucsess. I know its an excuse, but i wonder if it was his intention in the begining? Also dose anyone know of any adult adhd speicalist in california? he is curently in a drug program, but i think he needs to address the underlying issue. i have had symptoms recently that are similar to Adult ADHD, but i was not diagnosed with any learning problems before the age of 7. I’ve always been disorganized, lazy, etc, but lately i’ve had trouble learning things in my college courses. its not that the courses are too challenging, its that i simply cannot concentrate on the work at all no matter how hard i try and how many study tips i use. is there a solution to my problem that can help save my grades? Parent thinks I am lazy, psychiatrist wants me to do a self-survey for Adult ADHD. I dont know if I am lazy or have ADHD….my school performance is okay, but I do not concentrate well and hate to sit in lectures…I hate to pay attention to professors and end up going home and self-teaching all the material.
