My daughter is 11 years old and tall for her age, about 5’2. She weighs 160 lbs. She has severe stretch marks all over her from gaining weight so quickly. She was very thin until around age 6 she started to gain some weight. She also has ADHD. She was recently diagnosed so no medication has started yet. Is there a diet that will help her with her ADHD symptoms and help her lose weight? I know to avoid sugars and dyes but what else? Thanks!! Parent thinks I am lazy, psychiatrist wants me to do a self-survey for Adult ADHD. I dont know if I am lazy or have ADHD….my school performance is okay, but I do not concentrate well and hate to sit in lectures…I hate to pay attention to professors and end up going home and self-teaching all the material. I should know this stuff but I don’t. If one wanted to be evaluated for adult ADHD, would they start out with a psychologist or a psychiatrist? I figure a psychologist would evaluate you and then a psychiatrist would medicate you, but do the psychologists already have that all lined up or would you have to find a psychiatrist yourself?
